Ok, now you're serious!

The Thru Hiker is a complete lightweight system that is ready to thru hike the Appalachian Trail.  It's the same as System2 but lighter and ready to tackle the weather that Mother Nature throws at you.

The Tarp is Dyneema Composite Fiber fabric (DCF formerly known as Cuben Fiber) which is a ultralight material made to keep you out of the weather. The Quilts are 20 degree HyperDRY 850 RDS (Responsible Down Standard) White Goose Down filled which are light and easy to pack. The Calendared Quilt fabric won't leak the down that is inside and our closed channel construction keeps your down from migrating after a wash.

Everything in this system is made to go together! Everything is rigged and ready to hit the AT. No fiddle factor or tweaking, you don't have to spend hours on the internet trying to figure out what works. Hang and Play Technology will allow you to start your thru hike with confidence. When you are Rested & Relaxed the next day on Trail is always easier!

When you buy our System3: Thru Hiker, we will personally connect with you online to make sure you are comfortable with your system prior to your thru hike! Also, while on your Thru-hike if you need us, R&R will be there to help you!

Just used my new Thru Hiker system for the first time on the Foothills Trail

The Dyneema composite fabric on the tarp that I got with my system is incredibly light. It’s also semi-transparent. I can look up through the tarp at night and discern the silhouettes of the trees above and the sky between them. It’s a nice sensation of being halfway between enclosed and in the open. The Dyneema composite tarp is a great option for keeping the elements at bay without feeling totally boxed in.
Temperatures haven’t been cold enough yet for the top quilt, but I like the way the underquilt works on this system compared to my old one. With my old system if I wanted to attach or detach an underquilt it would require me to unzip the integrated bug net and get outside to attach or detach it. With the 360 degree bug net on this system being separate from the hammock I find that I can simply reach over either side of the hammock and pull the underquilt away for cooler sleeping and then reach over again and pull it back underneath me to get warm again without getting up at all. The zipper pulls have large glow-in-the-dark beads that make them easy to find in the dark. Nice touch.
The straps and slings that are provided make it fast and easy to hang the hammock and get the tension adjusted. It was so much easier to get into and so much more comfortable to sleep in that I wished I could have had this hammock all along rather than my old one. I am very happy that I have this system now and really looking forward to my next adventure with the R&R Thru Hiker system.

Amazing system

Used this system my 2019 Appalachian Trail thru hike. It was perfect I was always warm and comfortable never a drop of water on me. And never a sleepless night. Every morning I woke up ready to go the next day. This is truly comfortable down to 20°. The cuben tarp is anyone's best friend it doesnt hold water weight like other tarps so packing it up wet is no issue.

Thanks Cody! Cody gave us input on System3: Thru Hiker, he told us what he was experiencing on the AT as a Thru Hiker, and we took that information to make our system simple and easy to use in any kind of weather!
